Most people don't know that the original PICTURE ME ROLLIN beat belonged to a Mexican rapper who would later become one of Tupac most loyal producers.... Johnny J (RIP). The story goes that they were in the studio together working on tracks for the All Eyez On Me album. Suddenly, Tupac heard this random song start to play in the background. After realizing that it was an already recorded track on Johnny J's 1994 album, he asked Johnny to replay it so that he can use as inspiration to write lyrics right there in the studio. After Johnny heard a small portion of Pac had written, he was so intrigued that he told Pac to take the entire beat, remake a new song, and to put it on the upcoming album. The rest is history. Johnny J was one of Pac most loyal supporters in the studio and its sad that he doesn't get enough credit for it.
